To ensure your visit to Bryerley is safe, as well as fun, please read our terms and conditions, which also relate to bookings using our online Booking system, EC Pro.

Bryerley Springs Equestrian Centre Terms and Conditions

Refund & Cancellation Policy

- Sessions Cancellation – 24 hours notice is required for cancellation of single sessions. Missed sessions without the appropriate notice will be charged as if attended. For cancellations of at least 24 hours in advance, Bryerley Springs will arrange an alternative session or your EC Pro account can be credited. For no-shows, no refunds or credits will be provided. All deposits are non-refundable.

- Camps & Programmes Cancellation - 14 days of notice is required for camp or program cancellations. Any cancellations with 14 or more days of notice will be processed. All deposits are non-refundable. Cancellation Within 13 Days Of Camp – No cancellations by an athlete or team will be accepted within 13 days of the beginning of camp.

- Refunds – Bryerley Springs as standard does not offer refunds for lessons, camps or other activities. In the event that It is agreed between the proprietor and customer that a refund will be given a 15% admin charge will be applied.

Bookings & Notice

·       Lessons booked must be paid in full at the time of booking.

·       Lessons may be transferred to an alternative date providing 24 hours’ notice is given.

·       Refunds are not given.

·       If a rider is unable to take the lessons paid for any reason they can be held for a period of six months.

·       Credit can only be valid on a customers account for up to 1 year. 

·       Lessons may be transferred to another rider, if lesson holder gives 24 hours notice by email.

·       Hat hire (£2) must be paid for at the time of booking. We reserve the right to charge a fee of £5 to any rider that is in need of borrowing a hat and has not paid for hat hire at the time of booking.

·       Riders with their own or loan horse receive a 25% discount on group and private lessons.

·       In order for a session to be classed as a group it must obtain a minimum of 3 riders. In the event only 2 riders are booked in the session will run as a 30 minute semi-private session. If numbers fall below 2 the session will be cancelled. In the event a session is cancelled all riders will receive credit for the amount for their session to their account.

Rider Information:

·       On arrival please report straight to the office and wait here for a member of our team to greet you

·       Customers are not to approach, pat or feed liveries horses (Stabled horses)

·       Sensible footwear with a small heel must be worn, i.e. no trainers. We reserve the right to deny any rider taking part that does not have suitable footwear. There will be no credit given or opportunity to reschedule.

·       Clients must wear a riding hat of the correct current safety standard for all activities on and around the horses.

·       Any rider that uses their own hat must ensure it is in compliance with the current safety standards. No rider will be allowed to ride in any hat that does not meet these requirements. You can find more information on this here: 2024-bhs-event-hat-guide-v1.pdf.

·       We have a weight limit of 17 stone (107.95kg)

·       Parents must willing to help lead their Child if necessary (if applicable)

·       It is the rider/parent’s responsibility to make instructors aware of any new or changing medical condition

·       Parents are required to stay on site (unless stated otherwise) and are responsible for their child at all times.

·       For pony tot’s session’s parents MUST lead their child. Parents must attend in suitable footwear such as boots or wellies. If parents do not arrive in suitable footwear then we reserve the right to deny your child taking part in the session.

·       Clients must not enter stables, fields and arenas or take horses unless instructed to do so by a member of staff.

·       If you don't have your own riding hat, hats are available to hire for a small charge, payable at time of booking. If a hat is used but not booked, an additional charge will be applied to your account.

·       In the event of a fall the ride will be halted, and a first aider will be called. The rider may not be able to continue with the session.

​·       NO VIDEOS OR PHOTOGRAPHY - In line with best practices recommended by the British Horse Society (BHS), Safeguarding protocols, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Bryerley Springs Equestrian Centre implements a strict "No Video or Photography" policy across our premises.

Horse Rider’s Code of Conduct:

§  I understand that riding at any standard has inherent risk and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions. I may fall off and could be injured. I accept that risk.

§  I understand that instructions are given for my safety and agree to follow instructions given to me by staff and instructors at the riding school.

§  I understand that wearing an appropriate riding hat and body protector may reduce the severity of an injury should an accident happen and agree that I will always wear a riding hat whist riding, leading and grooming horses at the riding school. I understand it is my choice whether I wear a body protector.

§  I understand that the riding school will make decisions based on information I give them and agree to always be honest and volunteer information about

§  my abilities and riding experience,

§  any previous riding accidents and

§  any medical condition(s) which may affect my ability to ride.

§  I understand that children are at particular risk around horses and agree that I will keep any children that I am responsible for, under close supervision when they are not being instructed by the riding school.

§  I understand that the riding school may refuse my request to ride for safety and operational reasons.

§  I understand that competing carries enhanced risk over and above general riding and agree that if I chose to participate in any competition or event, it is up to me to ensure that I have the experience and ability to ride the course including any jumps which form part of it. If I am in any doubt, I will use my judgement and experience and not enter.

Social Media Policy:

By booking a lesson with Bryerley Springs Equestrian centre I hereby agree to the following statement:

I/my child agrees that the use of social media in relation to the company Bryerley Springs will be used in an acceptable manner and I/my child will adhere to the rules outlined by the company.

I/my child agrees that social media Is not to be used in a way to deliberately cause harm to another person’s mental health and self confidence.

I/my child will not act in a manner that is threatening or demeaning.

I/my child agrees that videos/images of accidents involving horses owned by Bryerley Springs are not to be posted at anytime.

I/my child agrees that no social media account or group chat will be made under the name “Bryerley Springs” in an attempt to mimic the company.

I/my child agrees that the company logo is not to be used in any way to promote or represent an individuals social media account.

I/my child is of the understanding that if the terms of this agreement are not adhered to the company reserves the right to ask individuals to leave the premises permanently.

Please read the following statement before booking a lesson:

Whilst I accept that every care will be taken for My/My Child's Safety, I acknowledge that Riding is a Risk Sport and may hold potential danger as all horses can react unpredictably on occasion.

I agree to hold blameless any Instructor/Helper or the Proprietor in the event of an accident or injury caused by error of judgment or by the actions of any Pony/Horse whilst I/My Child participate in activities at Bryerley Springs Farm Equestrian Centre.

All activities are voluntarily, and I intend to use my own judgment as to the activities that I/My Child should participate in, taking into account My/My Child's experience and skill, regardless of the motivation of others.

I voluntary accept and assume risk of personal injury and am responsible for My/My Child's own property.

I hereby state that I/My Child wish to participate in riding activities at Bryerley Springs Equestrian Centre and accept the above terms & conditions

 

Complaints procedure:

In the event that a customer wishes to make a complaint, please send an email to admin@bryerleysprings.co.uk . All complaints will be reviewed at management level and assessed as to what necessary actions need to be taken.
